Ok, So its been over three months since my first post. I think I'm overdue for a second. So, whats happened in my life over the last 3 and a bit months I hear you ask? Hmmm... I've been away far away for a bit. I went to Singapore, Australia and New Zealand. A quick summary of these places are as follows - they are all really nice, apart from New Zealand, which is super nice. I've decided over the course of a few blogs, I'm going to reminisce over my trip and share some of the fun stories I was told.
These stories will include:
Random stuff about the Opera House, the word Eternity and the Harbour Bridge in Sydney
Stories about Small Asian girls, silly americans, mushrooms that grow on trees, spikey plants, falling off rocks, rubber snakes, holding onto a paddle tightly, the dangers of white water rafting and why you shouldnt hide in a bathroom during a tropical storm, all picked up in Cairns.
From New Zealand, stories about Lord of the Rings, getting petrol with no money, crashing a wedding, Sherpa stories and a few other tales we were told.
Other stuff thats happened:
I had a terrible job interview
I decided to sell my house
I saw Man United play at Windsor Park
I emailed Wrigleys to ask about Joosters and why they werent in the shops any more.
I got an Email from Wrigleys telling me Joosters didnt have high enough sales to be produced.
I refused to believe there would be no more Joosters
I got angry over the lack of Joosters in my life
I tried to find Joosters on the internet
I got depressed by the lack of Joosters anywhere in the world
I accepted that other sweets could someday take the place of Joosters
(I may have experienced the 5 stages of grief over the demise of a brand of sweets)
I started running again
I stopped running
I signed up to do a half marathon
I tried muffins for the first time ever
I learned I liked muffins
I bought tickets to see the Irish open
I bought tickets to see some of the Olympic football matches
One of my best friends got married
I was best man at a wedding
I watched the Avengers in a little Cafe in New Zealand. It was awesome.
I've managed to be early to work for 23 consecutive work days, an all time record.
I suggested that a burger shop get a chicken fillet wrapped in cheese and bacon and place it inside a beefburger. They are currently testing it out.
Also, I think I'd like to write a short story about a man named Mr. Algernon Amberton, an exceedingly polite gentleman who finds himself in all kinds of unusual and weird situations. I may write it and post it here for everyone to read.
And i think thats me for this blog post.
It isnt very exciting.
I dont think I have the hang of it yet. This contains nothing profound. or interesting.
